This policy explains how cancellations, refunds and the EU right of withdrawal work for paid Services from HostMyService. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. Cancelling your service
You can cancel any paid Service at any time by opening a ticket on our Discord. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your Service stays active until the end of the billing cycle you already paid for. We do not automatically refund the remaining part of a cycle unless stated below or required by law.
2. EU right of withdrawal (14 days)
If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract, starting the day after it is concluded.
Because hosting is a digital service that we start providing right away, you can ask us to begin immediately. If you do, and the service is then fully performed, you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once performance has begun, as allowed under EU consumer law. If performance has only partly taken place, you pay a proportionate amount for what you have used.
To withdraw within the 14-day period, email support@hostmyservice.net or open a Discord ticket. You do not need to give a reason.
3. Refunds
- Free tier: nothing is charged, so no refund applies.
- Within the withdrawal period (where it still applies): we refund the amount due, minus any proportionate charge for a service already partly used.
- Our fault: if we cannot deliver a Service you paid for, we will refund the affected amount or offer a fair alternative.
- Outside the above: paid cycles are generally non-refundable once the service is running, except where the law requires otherwise.
4. How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are made using the same payment method you used, where possible, normally within 14 days of us agreeing the refund.
5. Chargebacks and abuse
Please contact us first so we can resolve any issue. Services obtained through fraud or serious breach of our Terms are not eligible for a refund.
