This Privacy Policy explains how HostMyService ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects information when you use our websites (hostmyservice.net, hostmybot.net and related subdomains), our client panel and our hosting services (together, the "Services").
In short: we only process the data we need to provide hosting and handle your order. Our websites use no analytics, tracking or advertising cookies — only functional storage (such as your shopping cart).
1. Who we are
HostMyService is a hosting provider operated from the Netherlands. HostMyBot is a service of HostMyService. You can reach us for any privacy question or request at support@hostmyservice.net or through a ticket on our Discord.
2. What we collect
- Order & account data — the information you give us to set up your service, such as your Discord username/ID, a contact e-mail address, and the details of the plan you order.
- Billing data — the records we are required to keep about payments and invoices.
- Service & usage data — server activity and technical logs, kept for reliability, support and abuse prevention.
- Functional storage — your browser stores your shopping cart locally (localStorage) so your selection is remembered. This never leaves your device and is not shared with us or third parties.
We do not use Google Analytics, advertising cookies or similar tracking on hostmyservice.net.
3. Why we use it and our legal bases (GDPR)
- To provide the Services — performance of our agreement with you (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Security, fraud and abuse prevention — our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Legal and accounting obligations — compliance with the law (Art. 6(1)(c)).
4. Sharing your data
We only share data where necessary to run the Services: with our infrastructure and payment providers, and with Discord where support is handled there. We never sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep it
We keep data no longer than necessary for the purpose it was collected, except where a longer period is required by law (for example, billing records). Server data is removed after your service ends, in line with our Terms of Service.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights — including a data deletion request — email support@hostmyservice.net. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
8. Minimum age
Our Services are not directed at children. You must be at least 13 years old (and meet Discord's minimum age) to use them; if you are under the age of majority in your country, you need the consent of a parent or guardian.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows the latest version, and significant changes will be announced via Discord.
